Peppermint Tea

For those of you who are tea lovers or anyone who occasionally likes to drink tea but can't drink tea with milk in it, this post just explains why I like peppermint tea and the health benefits of it.

I was looking for tea that didn't require adding any milk but won't taste nasty and I came across this.

Twinings Herbal Selection

It comes with 25 tea bags with 5 of each flavour. There's the "Energising Peppermint & Nettle", "Invigorating Peppermint", "Restoring Echinacea & Raspberry", "Soothing Camomile & Honey" and "Revitalising Lemon & Ginger".

The only one I've tried for now is  Pure Peppermint and I love how minty and refreshing it tastes. I had a cold the first time I tried it and I felt so much better after one cup of it.

One benefit of Peppermint tea is that it helps with stomach problems. It says on the pack that peppermint leaves have traditionally been used to soothe the stomach and aid digestion.. So if you're having any stomach problems then it's worth a try.

Another benefit of peppermint tea is that it helps relieve stress and helps you feel relaxed. So this tea is perfect after a long, stressful day.

I can't wait to try the other flavours.. I think I'll try the "Soothing Camomile & Honey" next :)

  1. Hi Oyime, I loooovvve your blog.
A few weeks after reading this post, I got the Twinings blackcurrant and vanilla tea. I later realized it had a bit of ginseng which might be why it doesn't taste quite nice but I don't know.
Could you please recommend some flavours and how to properly infuse the tea to get best tastes. Thank you
P.s. Would love to see more of your posts.

    1. Hello! Sorry for the late reply I'm just seeing this
I wouldn't recommend the other flavours from this particular brand I think the peppermint is the best
I've tried the Apple & Cinnamon, pink citrus and forest fruit and they were really good so I'll recommend any of those depending on what you like
You can just leave the tea bag for 3-5 minutes but nothing more than this so it doesn't get a weird after taste

Thanks soo much! I'll try to post more often :)
