Flat Twists = Slightly Stretched 'Fro

Hey there! How are you? I hope you're having a lovely day :)

On Sunday, my hair felt really dry so I decided to deep condition overnight. I co-washed my hair the next morning with my Yes To Carrots conditioner and on Monday evening, I wanted to put my hair in cornrows so I could wear my wig during the week. Cornrows make my hair feel dry and brittle though, so I decided to try flat twists. It took a while because I'm not too good at it.

You can look at pictures of the flat twists I got at the salon some months ago here and try not to laugh at my attempt.

After doing my makeup on Tuesday, I wanted to see how it would look with my fro out so I took out my flat twists. I didn't expect it to be stretched especially since I had done the flat twists on damp hair, but it was slightly stretched.

I liked how it looked and I know I always say I'm going to wear my hair out more often as opposed to just putting it in puffs like I usually do but I mean it this time.

I definitely prefer flat twists to cornrows because they're faster to take down and my hair didn't feel as dry as it would have with cornrows. So, the next time I want to get my hair ready for a wig I'll stick to flat twists and I'll know that when I take them out, I can have a stretched out fro.

Oyime :)
